I am a young Baptist pastor with a passion for preaching, reading, and writing. I've been blessed with a wonderful wife, a sweet daughter, and a goofy dog. I try not to take myself too seriously, and to extend grace to others to the same degree that it has been shown to me. Both of these tasks have proven to be difficult.
If something I post on this blog benefits you in any way, I will certainly be thankful. However, as a favorite songwriter of mine once commented about his music career, "I need this more than you." This blog is more about fulfilling a need I have to express myself through writing, more than it is to provide anyone else with profound thoughts or advice.
As selfish as that might sound, I think that is how God works through us most of the time. He uses our needs to fulfill the needs of others. It is for this reason that I take great joy in "boasting in weakness."
